Residing in the hills of Dutchess County, New York, Coral continues to expand her passion of designing one-of-a-kind jewelry using Precious Metal Clay Fine Silver and semi precious stones.
Apprenticing under Vera Lightstone, scultptor and Precious Metal Clay Instructor NYC, Coral J. O'Buckley worked to become a Certified Instructor of Precious Metal Clay through the PMC Guild in 2011.
Coral recently accepted an invitation to be Vera Lightstone's assistant in the winter of 2012 in her midtown studio, teaching students techniques with Precious Metal Clay.

What is Precious Metal Clay Fine Silver?
Precious Metal Clay, or PMC consists of microscopic particles of silver (gold, bronze, and copper options too) suspended in an organic binder.
There are four types of PMC: 1. a pliable material with a consistency similar to modeling clay, 2. a plastic syringe with clay, 3. a thick wet paste, and 4. a foldable paper-like material. PMC is worked with the fingers and tools creating a wide range of designs. The possibilities are endless.
When heated to a high temperature and fired in a kiln, the organic binder burns away and the metal particles fuse to form solid metal 99.99% fine silver, that can be sanded, soldered, colored and polished like conventional material.
